ACOUSTICAL CONSULTANT
Illingworth & Rodkin, Inc. is seeking an entry level consultant to conduct projects in acoustics. This person would be responsible for project work as it occurs in a large of range of topics covering transportation noise, environmental noise, architectural acoustics, underwater noise monitoring, and general noise and vibration control. Minimum requirements are a BS degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or similar with interest or exposure to the field of noise and vibration. The position will be based out of our growing Denver office.
Our firm emphasizes both empirical and theoretical solutions to problems. Our laboratory equipment ranges from conventional sound level meters to state-of-art multi-channel analyzers and our measurement applications range from environmental noise surveys to acoustic beam-forming. Current analysis and design applications include SoundPlan, GIS, TNM, MatLab, LabView, and AutoCad. Given the small size of our company, this position offers a range of “hands-on” experience from doing field work and instrumentation development to computer modeling, analysis, and report writing. This is a full-time position with benefits. The salary will be competitive, commensurate with the qualifications of the successful applicant.
